A new document changes something specific

A fictional professional report is received after an earlier preparation review. Its receipt date and the evidence inventory change. The relevant professional has not yet confirmed scope, permitted reliance or whether it satisfies the intended condition. The transaction does not automatically become ready.

Retain the previous state

Describe exactly what moved and why. Keep the prior output and its original cut-off, then create a dated update. Distinguish a corrected record from a new professional determination. This makes it possible to understand the change without rewriting the history of the earlier assessment.

Reassess within the agreed scope

The owner needs to know what remains unresolved and who must act next. One update does not create an ongoing monitoring promise. Earlier outputs do not become current merely because they remain available, and later evidence may require a new review or agreed scope.

General education using entirely fictional examples. No client outcomes, legal, title, valuation, investment, lending or technical determination is established. Authorised professionals retain their responsibilities. No third-party reliance or engagement is created.
